Is there really even a choice? Seriously? Water versus coffee and you act like there is a choice.

Espresso is the love that fuels the day.

When I was a child, I had a sip of coffee and thought that I would never drink coffee a day in my life. Fast forward twenty years; I have coffee with my breakfast, at times with my lunch, and often with my dessert. Many times in college I would hang out in a coffee shop. The vibes there felt inspirational as well as educational. From study groups to solo visits, coffee became the forefront of my day.

One day I went into work and to my surprise, a local coffee shop was making personalized coffee for the employees. Overjoyed doesn't begin to espresso how I felt. Half of the day went by and I probably had 4 to 5 cups of specialized coffee within 4 hours. I was feeling fantastic then it hit me. The sugar rush and lack of water hit me like a ton of bricks. I was ready for bed before I even had lunch! I don't know how I made it through the day but I did.

 

If you think that I don't drink coffee with a shot of espresso... think again!

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Espresso
  • 2 oz Condensed Milk
  • 2 oz Whipping cream heavy - optional
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp Cocoa Powder

Directions:

  1. Whip cream and vanilla extract with hand mixer until peaks form
  2. Pull 2 ounces of espresso
  3. Pour espresso into a glass cup
  4. Pour the condensed milk into cup, the ratio of espresso and milk is 1:1
  5. Top with whipped cream
  6. Sprinkle cocoa powder over the top
  7. Serve with a spoon
